Title:Data analytics and optimization for smart industry
Professor Lixin Tang is the Vice President of Northeastern University, China, a member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Director of Key Laboratory of Data Analytics and Optimization for Smart Industry, Ministry of Education, China, the Head of Center for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and the Chair Professor of Center for Industrial Intelligence and Systems Optimization, Northeastern University.
Professor Yuanqing Xia
Title:Workflows scheduling in cloud computing
Professor Yuanqing Xia is a chair professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Institute of Technology. He is now the dean of School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology. In 2012, he obtained the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China, and in 2016, he was honored as the Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professor and was supported by National High Level Talents Special Support Plan (“Million People Plan”) by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee. In 2017, he was approved to enjoy the special government allowances of the State Council.
Dr. Edward Tunstel
Title: Toward a Nexus of Intelligence and Interaction in Advanced Robotics
Dr. Edward Tunstel is CTO of Motiv Space Systems, Inc., a space and ground robotics company.
He was with NASA JPL for close to two decades, where he was a senior robotics engineer and group leader of its Advanced Robotic Controls Group. He worked on the NASA Mars Exploration Rovers mission as both a flight systems engineer responsible for autonomous navigation capabilities, and as rover engineering team lead for mobility and robotic arm subsystems during surface mission operations on Mars.
